There are eleven math units in the second grade curriculum: Place Value to 100, Basic Addition Concepts, Basic Subtraction Concepts, Working with Data, Addition Computation Strategies, Subtraction Computation Strategies, Place Value to 1,000, Money and Time, Geometry/Partitioning, Measurement, and Addition, Subtraction and Multiplication.

We use the daily 3 method of math instruction in our classroom. Students will participate in short whole group mini-lessons and small group instruction. When not working with a teacher, students can choose to do math by themselves, math with someone or writing about math.
